Donut Intros promote genuine interactions and cultivate meaningful connections among teammates by encouraging them to schedule meetups, whether virtual or in-person.
Getting Started
An Intros channel can be implemented within your Slack workspace in just a few minutes. Settings such as frequency, Intro types and times that Intros go out can be adjusted at anytime.
Donut tries to introduce teammates who don't normally interact with each other. It does this by looking at who is in which channels and matching those who aren't in a lot of channels together. Donut also keeps track of who has been introduced in the past to avoid frequent repeats.
Scheduling
If you've chosen to Integrate your Google Calendar with Donut, we will do our best to offer times that work for you and anyone else you've been paired with. Integrating Zoom will allow us to auto-generate links for you, as well, which will make scheduling Intros a breeze!
If you and your matches decide on a time outside of what Donut suggested, that's okay too. We will check back in with each pair in a few days and you can let Donut know you've met at that time.
Meeting
If you need ideas for things to discuss during your meeting, you can request a conversation starter from Donut at anytime, as well as viewing each other's Favorite Things.

After meeting, teammates can leave each other compliments to revisit anytime if they'd like. This could be a great way to solidify new connections made and let teammates know you enjoyed meeting.
What settings can individuals control?
Opting out or Snoozing
Teammates can opt-out of Intros in a few different ways, such as snoozing temporarily or opting out indefinitely.
Donut App within Slack
Donut's app within Slack is your solutions hub for all things Donut. You can find it under your "apps" on the lower left hand side of Slack.
From here, you can do the following:
Review all channels that you're a part of
Review recent Intros and update their status
Join existing, public channels in your workspace
Send compliments to previous matches
Review and edit your list of teammates you'd wish not to be paired with
