āļø How It Works
1. Set It Up
Choose a custom emoji for shoutouts (like š© or š)
Name your teamās points (e.g. Kudos, High-Fives)
Pick the Slack channel where shoutouts happen
Set how many points each person can give weekly
2. Add Rewards
Create custom rewards (gift cards, swag, time off) or choose from prebuilt templates.
Set the name, image, description, and point cost
Limit availability or quantity if needed
3. Assign Admins
Decide who can manage shoutouts
Donut Account Admins are automatically Shoutout admins and cannot be removed.
4. Launch
Set up a private fulfillment channelāthis is where Donut will send messages whenever someone redeems a reward, so you can easily track and fulfill requests.
Announce the program in your chosen Slack channel so your team knows how how to give shoutouts and what emoji to use.
Once your program is live, giving shoutouts is easy: Just post in the channel, tag a teammate, and include the emoji.
