FAQs

When Will the Message Send?

The message will be sent according to the timing you specify in the 'When is it for' section of your Journey setup. When the time comes, the message will appear in Slack as if you sent it directly. ✨

Where Do These Messages Appear in Slack?

Messages to channels and groups appear in the channel just as if you sent a message in the channel. DM messages appear in the DM between you and the recipient, just as if you had sent the message.

Replies to these messages go directly to the message sender as if this was a regular Slack message. They do not appear in the recipient's messages with the Donut app.

Will I Receive Slack Notifications For These Messages?

When Donut sends a message on your behalf, you do not receive a Slack notification for the message, and the channel or DM does not appear as unread in your Slack.

Other members of the channel or DM recipients will receive notifications and see the message as unread, just as they would for any other message you send in Slack.
