Edit Date Range in Donut Journeys

Learn how to change the calendar date range when viewing onboarding templates in the calendar view.

When creating and editing Journeys, Donut messages are planned out in terms of a new hire or participant's start or anchor date. The default calendar view shows from 2 weeks before a new hire's start through week 53, but some teams may require a larger time frame. 

For example, if your team sends preboarding reminders more than two weeks before a new hire starts, or if you wish to send anniversary reminders or other check-ins beyond one year. 

Here's how you can edit your date range:

  1. Login to your dashboard.

  2. Select the Journey you wish to edit

  3. Click "Edit date range shown"

  4. 4. Select the date range you'd like (in terms of weeks prior to the start date & weeks after)


5. Hit "Update date range" to change the date range.


How to change your calendar view:

In addition to changing your date range, you can change the calendar view to assist with planning.

We offer two different views:

  1. Weekdays: Preview your Journey's start date as any particular day of the week. This view can help plan recurring events or Journeys with varying start dates, such as New Hire Onboarding.

2. Specific Dates: Preview your Journey's start date as a specific date.
This view is recommended for Journeys with a specific start date, such as a

company retreat.

💡 Using this feature to change your calendar view is only intended to help plan. You can choose the start date for each new hire or participant when they're enrolled in the Journey.
