What is a Hub?
A Hub is a personalized space for each Donut Journey. It gives your New Hires or Participants easy access to Journey resources, key contacts, and milestones all in one place. While Hubs don't replace Slack messages and emails, they offer a handy central view of the Journey.
How do I turn Hubs on for my Journey?
Good news! Hubs are automatically enabled for all Journeys. However, if you need to adjust access or make changes to your Hub in the future, here's how
Visit your existing Journeys via your Donut Dashboard
Select the Journey you would like to enable or disable Hubs for.
Select the "Hub" tab within your Journeys settings
Toggle Hub access on or off for New Hires or Participants
You can also select "Edit Hub" if you would like to customize your Hub. We'll get into that more below! π
How do I edit what is visible in a Hub?
You can select "Edit Hub" once you are in the Hub section of your Journey. From there, you can edit the Design and Content.
On the Design tab, you can change your header and background colors + upload your logo! Since each Journey has a separate Hub, you can create custom logos for things like events, mentorship programs and specialized onboarding for separate teams.
Select the Content tab to update your welcome message, add a text block, choose the events shown, key people involved in the Journey along with important links.
How do New Hires and Participants access their Hubs?
New Hires and Participants can access their personalized Hubs in two ways:
Direct link in messages: They will receive a direct link to their Hub in messages from Donut. This link will appear in the footers of their DMs, polls, and tasks.
βDonut Home tab in Slack: A button to access their Hub will be available on the Donut Home tab in Slack. Not sure how to find Donut's Home tab? Click here to learn more.
What will the Hub look like for participants?
When participants access their Hub, it will open an interactive page in their web browser. This personalized page provides a centralized view of their Journey, including:
Journey resources: Important documents, guides, and materials relevant to their onboarding or program.
Key contacts: Information about team members, mentors, or other important people they should know.
Milestones: A visual representation of their progress through the Journey.
Upcoming events: Any scheduled meetings, training sessions, or social events related to their Journey.
Important links: Quick access to tools, platforms, or resources they'll need.
Custom content: Any additional information or messages specific to their Journey or team.

The Hub's design will reflect the customizations made by your team, including your organization's colors, logo, and welcome message.
