Sometimes you might need to link out to your company website, information about signing up for benefits, or other materials that are important for your participants to access externally.

Adding a link to a Journeys Message:

  1. Log in to your Donut dashboard.

  2. On the left side menu, click "Donut Journeys."

  3. Click "All Journeys" and then the specific Journey you want to edit.

  4. Once you've clicked into that Journey, locate the Message in the calendar you'd like to edit. ย

When editing Messages, you can enter custom text under the "What is it" tab. The editor displays a purple text box that allows you to edit the text, with a preview of what the Message would look like within Slack on the right-hand side.

Formatting a Link Correctly in a Donut Message:ย

The correct format to insert a link into the text box is <linkurl.com|LinkText>
See an example of a correctly formatted link toward the bottom of the Donut message below:

๐Ÿ’ก Pro-Tip: Be sure you open and close with "<" ">" and don't forget the pipe "|" between the url and the Link Text!

Once you've added in your custom text and any links you'd like to include in the Message, click "Done" and Donut will remember your new settings.
