If Donut is installed in your Slack workspace, you’ll be able to sign into donut.ai using your Slack credentials, allowing you to view and update settings for your team. Head over to donut.com.
Click "Get Started" then “Sign In” in the upper right corner.
If you’re not already signed into Slack, you'll be taken to a sign-in page on slack.com — sign in with your Slack username and password. If you’re already signed in to Slack, you’ll skip this step.
You'll see a Slack authorization page confirming that Donut wants to "confirm your identity" on Slack. Hit "Continue."
Now you're in! 🎉
What if I have multiple Slack accounts for multiple Slack workspaces?
You'll only be able to sign into Donut with an account for a Slack workspace that uses Donut. If you’re a member of multiple Slack workspaces, you may accidentally sign into Donut with the wrong account. Here’s what to do if you think this has happened:
Go to donut.com. If you’re already signed into Donut, click on your name in the upper right corner and click “sign out.”
Once you’re on the Donut home page, click “Sign In” in the upper right.
If you're not already signed into Slack, you'll be prompted to sign in to your Slack workspace. Make sure to sign into the workspace that uses Donut! If you're already signed into a Slack workspace, you'll go straight to #4.
You'll see a Slack authorization page confirming that Donut wants to "confirm your Identity" on Slack. Use the dropdown menu in the upper right to choose the workspace that uses Donut.

"You are not authorized to install Donut"

Open Slack
Click the downward facing arrow next to your workspace's name located in the upper left corner.
Click on "Preferences".
Select "Connected Accounts".
Check if the box next to "Allow Slack to connect with other apps" is unchecked. If it is, click inside the checkbox to enable this setting.
Try signing in again.

Resolving Channel Visibility Issues Due to Workspace Conflicts
If you’re connected to multiple Slack workspaces, you might be signed into Donut under the wrong workspace. This can make your channels invisible in the dashboard.
Steps to Fix Workspace Login Issues:
Sign out of the Donut dashboard.
Sign back in and, during the login process, select the correct Slack workspace where the Donut channels were created.
After selecting the appropriate workspace, the channels will appear in your dashboard. This is a common scenario for users managing multiple workspaces, and ensuring you're logged into the correct one should resolve the issue.
Troubleshooting Channels Not Working Due to Uninstalls
One common reason Donut channels may stop working is if Donut was uninstalled and then reinstalled in your Slack workspace. During the uninstall period, scheduled events such as Intros and Watercooler topics may become stuck, causing the next send dates to remain unchanged.
Steps to Fix Channels Affected by Uninstalls:
Visit the All Channels page.
Click the gear icon under any affected channel and update the next send date.
Once the send date is updated, the channels will resume running based on the new schedule. If you wish to investigate how Donut was uninstalled, here’s how you can check it in Slack:
Click your workspace name in the top left in Slack.
Select "Tools & Settings" and click "Manage Apps."
Open the "Activity Log" in the left menu to view details of the uninstall. Additionally, refer to the Slack Permissions Guide to manage settings that can help prevent future accidental uninstalls.
