Need to adjust how often your team is getting matched for Donut Intros, update your team’s Intro message or turn on video and calendar integrations? You can do all of these settings and more from Donut’s dashboard at app.donut.ai

Getting Started:

Sign into Donut using your Slack credentials at app.donut.ai. Click Donut Channels > All Channels from the left sidebar menu. From there, you’ll be able to adjust the settings by clicking on the gear icon on the Intro channel you wish to edit.

The different settings are grouped together under tabs to make navigating quick and easy. Below are the tabs and what settings you can adjust in each of them.

Program Basics:

  • View and edit the channel that Donut uses to make Intros

  • Adjust what type of Intros your team is using (Standard, Lottery, or Cross Group)

  • Adjust your team’s Intro Group Size

  • Customize your team’s Intro messages

Scheduling & Meeting:

  • Adjust the frequency of Intros

  • View and update the date of the next Intro

  • Adjust the Intro time and time zone *note all Intros are made in the time and time zone you select for everyone in the channel, regardless of what time zone they may be in

Engagement:

Access Settings:

You can also adjust a few personal settings that will only apply to you under the Personal Settings tab:

  • Snooze intros for yourself Snoozing temporarily pauses your participation in Donut Intros until a specified end date. After this date, you'll automatically be included in future rounds without any additional action. This is ideal for temporary situations like vacations or short-term unavailability.

  • Opt-in to receive an email report of basic stats after each round of intros

  • Exclude yourself from Intros *Note: Even if you exclude yourself from intros, you'll remain in the Donut channel. Excluding yourself permanently removes you from being matched in Donut Intros within a channel. If you wish to participate again after being excluded, you must opt back in by updating your settings. This option is suitable for long-term or permanent removal.

Differences Between Snoozing and Excluding:

  • Duration: Snoozing is temporary with an end date, while Excluding is permanent unless manually reversed.

  • Automatic Reinclusion: Snoozed users rejoin automatically after their snooze period ends, whereas Excluded users need to manually opt back in. FAQs on Timing:

  • Do exclusions apply to previously sent rounds? No, exclusions are not retroactive. If a round was generated or sent before the exclusion, the user might still be included in that round. Exclusions take effect for future rounds only.

What if I don’t see settings when I log into donut.ai?

If you’re a member of multiple Slack teams it’s possible that you signed into Donut with the wrong Slack account. See this article to help you get signed in with the right team.

If you don't see any channel settings, this means you need to set up a public Slack channel with Donut. To do this, check out our getting started guide. Once you finish the initial setup, you’ll be able to view or change any of the settings on donut.ai.
